This guest house is the former Benedictine abbey Maria Heimsuchung.
This abbey was run by the Benedictine Sisters as an independent guest house for decades.
For reasons of age, the community decided in 2019 to move to an age-appropriate monastery.
The community has found its new home on the Venusberg in Bonn.
Steinfeld Monastery now continues to run the guest house in the spirit of the sisters. We are glad to have got another opportunity to accommodate guests in Steinfeld.
The house has a total of 32 rooms in monastic style and the associated seminar rooms and a wonderful park.
They enjoy the seclusion of the small abbey and only have to come to the Steinfeld monastery for meals.
A perfect place to be a little more secluded, as is possible in our monastery.
