Today's Coat of Arms of Steinfeld

The coat of arms of today’s monastery is a coat of arms composed of various elements:

The heart is a reference to the Premonstratensian order originally active here, here is often found as a reference to St. Augustine a heart pierced by two arrows.

The star can be found for the first time in a Steinfeld seal image from 1265.

The lilies point to St. Potentinus, his origin in today’s France.

In this respect, the coat of arms established today is a combination of elements from the coat of arms of the office of Johannes Lohelius Begasse (1744-1750) and Gabriel Hilger (1750-1766).
