Marian Painting

This depiction of Mary above the entrance to the sacristy originally served as the altarpiece of the Marian altar, which stood directly opposite in front of the pillar of the two chapels.

In the painting we see the so-called “Trinitarian interpretation”, in which Christ and God the Father together hold the crown over the head of Mary. The Holy Spirit hovers above them, embodied in the dove.
